This Wednesday, my favourite restaurant, Amalia, opened the doors to their newest venture just over the road, ‘Amalia Cicchetti’. Where they will be serving deli, fresh bread, and snack-sized food.
I had the pleasure of attending the opening night, and it was bliss. From the moment we walked in, it was almost like you could feel the atmosphere. We were greeted with warm, friendly smiles from all the staff and the owners. The ambience was serene and quaint; I felt like I was in Italy! The soft lighting and picturesque walls helped in setting the scene. They have a deli counter around the front, and over the other side, there are a few tables and chairs.
Now, let’s talk food. We got to try mini-dish samples. Let’s just say the Brusseceta was my absolute favourite. They, however, had a variety of mini dishes, and every single bite was packed with flavour. I knew from the moment I walked in that the food would not disappoint. I mean… It's Amaila’s sister venue!
After we had been to the opening I popped over to their main restaurant because I just could not leave without having one of their magnificent spaghetti bolognese dishes.
I can safely say this is my new go-to for my coffee and catching up dates with my girls, their exceptional service, food, and atmosphere make it a must.
