better bedtime


Let's talk bedtime. Guys, if you are anything like me then this branch may just come in handy for you. Every night as I am trying to settle down I find myself in the same repetitive cycle... my mind all of a sudden decides to become even more awake than it has been all day. So in order to tackle this, in this branch we will talk about the best ways to unwind, chill, and get ready for bed.


☼ Try to avoid caffeine as it plays a big part in keeping you awake

☼ If you drink alcohol it can decrease your quality of sleep

☼ Have a hot bath

☼ Read a book, listen to some music, or my personal favourite journal ;)

☼ Try out some meditation

☼ Focus on your breathing - according to research it has been scientifically proven to be the quickest and most plausible way to relax (branch coming soon)

☼ Late-night scenarios - this is a meditation technique with is proven to help you unwind, just simply visualise either a memory or a made-up scenario.

☼ Do your before-bedtime routine - wash your face, moisturise... etc

☼ I would highly recommend you try to get a good sleep schedule as you will find that will improve your sleep quality by a lot!

☼ Try to have a nice clean space, of a morning before I leave my house, I always take the time to make sure that my bed is made and that my room is clean. Then, when it comes to bedtime I am in a comfy environment


Why is sleep so important?

Well, sleep is the natural condition of rest in which your body is at ease, your eyes are sealed, and your mind is not in an active state. To be assured you've had a good sleep when you wake up you should feel at ease and refreshed. How much sleep should I have? The typical adult should be having around seven to eight hours of sleep per night. Throughout the day you will naturally build up the pressure that is encouraging you to want to sleep, and that is completely normal, that is just your body letting you know it is ready to be restored.


Guys. Sleep is amazing! It allows your body to rest and perform the beneficial, natural maintenance for the body itself. It can also improve the brain's ability... how cool?
