Cookie recipe
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 cups chocolate chips
1 bar dairy milk
In a large bowl, mix the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. This step should usually take around two to three minutes. You can either use an eclectic whisk or a hand whisk.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing slowly until just combined. (Tip- Be careful not to overmix.)
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Drop a heaped tablespoon of dough onto the baking tray. ( Tip - use baking sheets), leaving about 2 inches between cookies.
Add a piece of the diary milk into the middle of the cookies
Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centres are still slightly soft.
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before devouring them!
Enjoy with warm milk or a cuppa Xx
