How to make a mean Spag Bol


Those who know me will know my favourite dish of all time is a good ol' bowl of spaghetti bolognese, so in this branch blog, I will share my quick and easy recipe! Enjoy Xx


Ingredients:


  • 500g of minced beef

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 can of chopped tomatoes

  • 1 tablespoon of tomato puree

  • 1 packet of Colman's Spaghetti Bolognese seasoning mix

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

  • Salt & pepper

  • Spaghetti


Instructions:


  1. In a large frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Then add your chopped onion and garlic and cook until softened.


2. Add your minced beef to the pan and let it cook until browned. ( Break up any large chunks, to ensure it all cooks evenly! )


3. Stir in the chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, & my favourite Colman's Spaghetti Bolognese seasoning mix. ( you can of course make the seasoning yourself, but sachets are much quicker! ) Mix well...


4. Add salt and pepper


~~~ Cover and let simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally ~~~


5. As the sauce simmers, proceed to boil your spaghetti


6. Once the sauce is ready and the spaghetti is cooked, serve the bolognese sauce over the spaghetti!
