It's a wrap!

As the first year of university finally approaches its end, it is important to acknowledge how far you've come. No matter what course you have chosen, you’ve more than likely made significant changes compared to the start of the year. Whether you’ve moved into accommodation or you’ve started a course that you were nervous about, look at how much you have blossomed as a person compared to first stepping onto the campus.

When I first joined the university, I felt an array of emotions—a mix of both nervousness and excitement. I was lucky enough to be part of an amazing class; we were class 1E; however, we more commonly referred to ourselves as ‘Class MF E’ and we were great. Don’t get me wrong, like all classes, we had our differences; however, as the year went on, we all became a lot closer.

Our end-of-year show was ‘katzenmusik' a play written by Tom Fowler. During the last rehearsal, we all processed that this would be our last time performing as a class, and that’s when reality hit us all. Our first year of university has come to an end!

The day of the show approached fast. We arrived at the M&S Bank arena at 12 o’clock we ran lines, completed a tech run, and took loads of pictures. It was a strange feeling, as we were all ecstatic, nervous, and sad that it was our last performance. It is safe to say that the show went amazing—better than we could have hoped for! Everybody gave it one hundred and ten per cent!

Whatever your course was and however your year has gone, be proud of how far you’ve come and how much you’ve developed!

Class 1E will forever be my favourite ensemble, and I have certainly made friends for life! Lots of love always, AAJ! Xx
