The Branch Blog's Taste of Jamaica: A Review of RayRayz

As a lover of all things delicious and authentic, let me tell you guys about my recent visit to RayRayz, a hidden gem of a Jamaican cuisine restaurant located on Park Road. As you step into the restaurant, you are sure to be hit with the sweet scent of jerk seasoning and the rhythm of reggae music, which fills the air. It almost has you feeling as though you’re in Jamaica!

 A Taste of the Island-

I began by trying a portion of their Jerk chicken, and boy did that showcase the perfect blend of flavours and textures. The jerk chicken was a bliss —tender, juicy, and smothered in a spicy jerk seasoning that left me wanting more. The side of steamed vegetables complimented the food. With a fresh mix of carrots, green beans, and cabbage, how could you go wrong?

But the real star of the show was the plantain!

Main -

For my main course, I opted for the peppered steak served with rice and peas—soft, juicy, and flavorful, infused with a subtle spice seasoning. The steak was expertly marinated in a ‘Rayrayz’ blend of spices and herbs, then cooked to perfection, resulting in a beautiful taste that melted in my mouth. The side of rice and peas was just delicious.

Overall-

My visit to RayRayz was nothing short of perfect. From the warm, welcoming ambience to the amazing service (my family will never disappoint), every aspect of this restaurant transports visitors to sun-kissed Jamaica. And as for the food? Well, let's just say that I'll be back on all my lunch breaks.

The Branch Blog Rating: 5/5-

If you're looking for an authentic taste of Jamaica in the city, then RayRayz is the place to be. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you and jump for joy.

**The Branch’s Tip: Be sure to arrive early to secure a spot in the restaurant; it's the perfect spot to laugh while enjoying your meal. And don't forget to try the "peppered steak"— it is unreal!
