I woke up with a dry throat a few mornings ago, and ever since then, it has only gotten worse. Ugh! The dreaded sore throat, however, it seems like I'm not alone in this situation. Therefore, in this branch, I will discuss ways to entertain yourself, cures, and perhaps why we are all feeling this way.

I'll start with some remedies first. The NHS website advises drinking plenty of fluids to keep your throat moist and prevent dehydration; perhaps my sore throat is a sign as I really do need to up my water intake. Sucking on hard sweets or ice lollies is another piece of advice. Rest seems to be the most frequently offered advice because sore throats typically subside within a week. My favourite remedy for a sore throat has always been a hot cup of tea. Especially the ones that my dad makes since they are the best cups of tea imaginable! (Sorry, mum.)
Let's now evaluate the potential causes of our sore throats. Research indicates that a cold or the flu is most likely to blame for your sore throat, but if you smoke, this may also be a major contributing cause.
Netflix is the best option for entertainment, in my opinion. I think I've already finished three series. Make sure, to be warm and cautious! Stay in bed and relax. I would also recommend ready a book with the cafe jazz playlist on of course! ;) -AAJ Xx
