Valentines day
Ah, Valentine's Day. The day we singles dread every year on the second week of February. But what if I told you it didn't have to be this way, instead we can learn to embrace this day of love and use it to help us tune into that self-love. So, in this Branch Blog, I will give you some self-love musts for this Valentine's Day.
Call your gal pals over- This one is great and if your pals are single too you can share the love. Valentine's Day doesn't always have to be about the love you share with your partner, so embrace it. Here are some things you can do:
Movie night
Cook a meal
Game night
Painting
( you can paint portraits or also candle painting, all you have to do is light mini tealight candles of various colours and use a paintbrush to paint those colours on a longer or thicker pillar candle.)
Have a self-care night - I would recommend doing a face mask and having a long bubble bath whilst you blast the Chaka Khan. Oh, and painting your nails in your favourite colour is a must! You can also stay in and have a solo movie night, here are some of my must watches for Valentines' Day:
How to Be Single
Bridesmaids
Bridget Jones 1,2 & 3
Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Identity thief
(not all of these are love-related, however, they are still great watches. It is also a good idea to watch movies you love… ( with all your favourite snacks too obviously)
Take yourself out - Go to your favourite restaurant and book that table for one, there is too much of a negative stigma around taking yourself out for dinner, and there simply should not be… treating yourself is completely normal and okay.
Get active- Perhaps try something new. Go for a walk or a hike reflect on yourself and credit all of your beautiful qualities and traits. Take a moment to stand alone, and appreciate the relationship you have with yourself.
Enjoy this day and don't forget to embrace it! Of course, if it's simply not for you then that is absolutely fine.
Much love always Anaiá Xx
